Arenite is self funded with the full support of a large family office, we operate without external debt. Our team has the benefit of a proven track record in the property development, construction and consultancy industries.

Dr Brian McConnell
Dr Brian McConnell BSc PhD founded, scaled and ultimately sold Hydrock, a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy based in the UK. Hydrock were involved in numerous projects across the UK and internationally, in engineering, energy and sustainability. Brian brings huge commercial and strategic direction to Arenite along with an ethos and approach of being a force for good. Brian is the co-founder of Arenite and through his belief in doing the right thing, doing it well, Arenite is positioned at the forefront of the development industry.
Peter Brown
Peter Brown BSc MSc MRTPI co-founder of Arenite is a chartered town planner, and has been in property development since 2006. Pete is driven by place making, finding opportunities working with a broad range of people and like Brian is a firm believer in a meritocratic approach to everything. Having a broad range of expertise from pre construction packages to managing construction sites as well as extensive experience in promotion agreements and strategic site promotion, Pete is responsible for the day to day operations of Arenite.
Nick Hounsfield
Nick Hounsfield BSc Hons is the man who brought a ‘slice of the ocean’ to a field in Bristol. Founder and visionary behind The Wave, which opened its first site in 2019, Nick is a former osteopath with a passion for bringing the health benefits of water and waves to more people. He has an innate talent for thinking big and differently, approaching developments from a ‘what if’ start point and looking to create spaces that are better for both human and planetary health. Nick is a ‘blue health’ advocate and spokesperson, a Blue Marine Foundation ambassador and a board Director for Surfing England.
